Just in time for the reopening of the gastronomy on Friday, May 15, 2020, the east restaurant presents itself in new splendor after the compulsory coronavirus break. In the last few weeks, more than 1.700 m2 of parquet flooring has been renewed as part of a "spring cleaning" and extensive painting work has been carried out in the rooms that are empty of visitors. In order to implement the specified infection protection measures for guests and staff in the catering business, a number of changes to the previous processes are being made. Among other things, all employees who come into contact with guests and/or food wear mouth and nose protection and disposable gloves. In addition, certified infection control assistants were trained in advance. In addition to the disinfectant dispensers that have been set up, the previous seating arrangement and seating in the restaurant will be adjusted according to the safety distance. The restaurant coast by east in HafenCity will open its doors on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, followed by clouds - Heaven's Bar & Kitchen in the Tanzenden Türme, which will again be serving guests on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Table reservations for all restaurants are already being accepted.
The 4-star Superior east Hotel, which is planning to reopen on Monday, May 18, 2020, is also working flat out to implement the infection protection requirements, such as distance control, room hygiene, etc. For future stays at the east Hotel, every hotel guest has a personal " east-Corona-Kit", consisting of mouth and nose protection and hand disinfectant, is available in the rooms. In order to offer as few surfaces that can be used as possible, the rooms are furnished free of decoration, pillows, blankets and flowers. Objects such as minibar cards and information sheets that are handled by several people will be removed. New management of the hotelSince the beginning of May 2020, Felizitas Denz has been the new hotel manager of the east Hotel. This makes Ms. Denz the responsible contact person for all operational and administrative processes in the east hotel area. Ms. Denz has been working at east cosmos in various areas such as marketing, e-commerce, front office, host, room reservation and revenue management for eight years and most recently held the position of performance manager east group. During her career to date at east cosmos, Ms. Denz has held positions such as Revenue Manager Banquet, Hospitality Performance Manager, Front of House & Revenue Manager and Assistant Reservation Manager.
Born in Hamburg, she learned her craft “from scratch” in the neighboring SIDE design hotel and, after a brief insight into the gastronomy in the 5-star luxury hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg, came to the east cosmos as Commis de Rang. Here she started as a reservation agent and just one year later successfully held the position of reservation supervisor and then assistant reservation manager. A 6-month stay in Australia "Down Under" as a supervisor in "Nick's Seafood Restaurant" and a 5-month cruise as a receptionist on the MS Europa gave Ms. Denz the best tools for her new position.
